Jewish Communities Face Rising Threats

The attacks have deeply unsettled Jewish communities in cities including London, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris. In recent months, authorities have investigated synagogue arsons, attacks on Jewish-owned businesses, and the burning of volunteer ambulances belonging to Jewish organizations in the United Kingdom.

In response, police departments across Europe are increasing security measures around Jewish institutions. London’s Metropolitan Police recently announced the creation of a specialized protection unit focused on safeguarding Jewish neighborhoods and responding to antisemitic threats.

British lawmakers are also considering tougher legislation aimed at individuals who commit attacks on behalf of hostile foreign powers, including Iran-linked proxy groups.
