Exercise and Physical Activity
After exercise, veins often appear larger and more visible. Physical activity increases blood flow and causes muscles to expand, temporarily pushing veins closer to the skin’s surface.
Common Signs:
- Temporary vein enlargement
- Increased muscle pump
- Return to normal appearance after rest
Aging and Skin Changes
As people age, the skin naturally becomes thinner and loses some of its elasticity. This process can make underlying veins easier to see.
At the same time, vein walls may become more prominent, particularly in the hands and lower legs.
Common Signs:
- More visible veins in the hands
- Thinner skin texture
- Gradual development over time
