3. Cluster Headaches

Less common but extremely painful,  episodes occur in cycles or “clusters.”

What it feels like:

  • Intense burning or piercing pain, usually around one eye
  • Redness or tearing in the eye
  • Nasal congestion

They often strike suddenly and can happen multiple times a day for weeks or months.

These are linked to sinus infections or inflammation, such as

  • Pressure around the forehead, cheeks, and eyes
  • Pain that worsens when bending forward
  • Accompanied by nasal congestion or fever

Many people confuse migraines with sinus headaches because of overlapping symptoms.
