Why Do They Gather in Large Numbers?

Vultures are social birds and often roost together, especially in areas that provide safety, warmth, and a good vantage point. Trees, rooftops, communication towers, and other elevated structures are popular gathering spots.

Unfortunately for nearby residents, these communal roosts can create a noticeable mess. Large accumulations of droppings may stain sidewalks, damage surfaces over time, and leave people wondering what caused the strange white markings.
