Idaho air show horror after 2 jets crash in front of frightened spectators

Witnesses described hearing a loud, sudden impact in the sky before seeing debris falling and smoke rising as both aircraft went down near the performance area.

“It happened so fast,” one spectator said. “One moment they were flying in formation, and the next there was smoke everywhere. People started screaming and running.”

Emergency response teams stationed at the event immediately activated disaster protocols. Fire crews moved quickly to secure the crash sites while medical personnel rushed in to assess the situation and assist potential survivors.
