Inside the box was a beautifully baked pie along with dozens of handwritten notes tucked beneath the dish. The messages came from hospice nurses, family members, and even relatives of former patients who had received her pies over the years.

Many of the notes thanked her for bringing comfort during final moments with loved ones.

One message reportedly read:

“You fed people emotionally when they needed kindness the most.”

Another said:

“My father barely ate during his final week, but he smiled after tasting your apple pie.”

The woman later admitted she broke down crying as she read through the messages one by one.
