The wedding itself was beautiful—but not entirely free of strain. My parents attended, but their smiles felt forced. There was a distance in the room, an unspoken tension that lingered beneath the celebration.

“Promise You Won’t Scream…”
That night, after the guests had gone and the noise had faded, we finally found ourselves alone.

“Promise you won’t scream when I show you this.”
