Nothing seemed unusual—at first.

As the bus pulled away from the stop, Daniel noticed something strange about the driver. The man appeared nervous, constantly adjusting his heavy coat despite the bus’s warm interior. At one point, he glanced repeatedly into the rearview mirror, as if checking whether anyone was watching him.

Daniel tried to ignore it.

But a few minutes later, something caught his eye.

From beneath the driver’s coat, a long, dark object slowly emerged.

His heart immediately began to race.

The shape was difficult to identify from where he was sitting, but it looked unsettlingly similar to the barrel of a weapon. A wave of panic rushed through him. What if the driver was armed? What if the passengers were in danger?
