⏳ What Happens Next?

When temperatures warm up—usually in spring or early summer—the eggs hatch, releasing many tiny mantises at once. It’s quite a sight: dozens of miniature versions of the adult insect emerging and dispersing into the surrounding plants.

⚠️ Should You Remove It?

In most cases, it’s best to leave it alone. Removing or destroying the ootheca would prevent the eggs from hatching. If it’s in an inconvenient spot, you can carefully relocate it to a nearby shrub or sheltered area without damaging it.
